The Philippines is one of the biggest Catholic countries in Asia and is home to various cathedrals and churches. The structures, how it was engineered, and the history behind Philippines churches fascinate a lot of visitors whether foreign or local. Worship is not exclusive to Christians. Philippines is a melting pot of various house of worships by different religions, temples are common in the metro and even in provinces.
So long as we do not permit faith to override our rational powers we should use those talents to explore the frontiers which lie at the outer limits of scientific observation.”

#FaithResurrectionScience
Jesus is real! Salvation is real! There are some scientific proofs presented claiming that resurrection really happened. But for the Catholic Filipinos, scientific evidences are less important since their belief to God is primarily rooted to faith. To further strengthen faith among people, different traditions are being carried out by various churches including the yearly Semana Santa reliving the life and works of Jesus plus His good news of salvation. Lots of sculptures showing the acts done by Jesus Christ and other biblical characters are ornamented and presented during this week. This procession of figures is a way for Catholic Filipinos to reminisce the sacrifices of the Lord.
Various religions have their own beliefs. Amidst this diversity in religion, each one of us is being taught, by our own religion, of the value of respect. |
